The Officers and Members of the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company are saddened by the loss of Life Member and WW2 Veteran, William Whitney Jr. William "Bill" Whitney Jr has been an active member for the past 20+ years and was our Monday Night Bingo Caller for many, many years. He was preceded in death by his wife and Member, "Nellie". He was a very passionate, heartfelt, but stubborn man. He spent his Military career with the U.S. Navy Seebee's And did his tour of action in WW2 on the island of Okinawa, Japan. He also looked forward to our military tribute to our veterans by the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Co. Honor Guard. Bill also served as Vice President of our Auxiliary and was a very dear friend to ALL OF US. Arrangements have not yet been made and will be posted as soon as they are available. Please Keep the Whitney Family in your Prayers in this time of sorrow.
